I created an alluring collection that reflects love’s aesthetic, spiritual and poetic beauty and expresses the profound nature of love. I’ve taken inspirations from a wide variety of cultures and combines stunning design elements—including the classic romance of Italian and Turkish artistic traditions—to present all facets of love in this unique collection.
After the popularity of my 7 Layers of Love® Rings, I added the charms. They are wearable symbols and powerful reminders of the sentiments. Celebrating love in all its forms, including the gift of friendship, the bonds of family, and the thrill of romance, each charm is an expression of the wearer’s deepest feelings and most heartfelt sentiments. The 7 Layers of Love® charms are 7 timeless allegories that embrace love’s supreme influence and express the bonds of friendship and family, the importance of self-love, and the incomparable delight of romance.

International jewelry designer Katrina Kelly recently launched the follow-up series to her 7 Layers of Love® rings with a collection of charm necklaces that will surely make blingthusiasts’ hearts beat quite a bit faster!
The designs, say Kelly, “Are a personal expression of love’s many meanings and forms…” The series features a lucky seven pieces symbolizing: Luck, Light,Laughter, Love, Loyalty, Life and Lover. A fitting 10 percent of the collection’sLife charm proceeds is slated to benefit: Step Up Women’s Network—a charity dedicated to advancing women and girls through mentoring and networking.

> My January 2009 issue of Arts and Antiques just arrived. Considering the cover focus is on Great American Silver I dove right in to read about the silversmiths that made the striking cover metalworks. However, I came across a page depicting a wild effervescent painting that pounced right out at me like a wild beast; ahhh must be The Fauves-yes. The title that captured me was “The Forgotten Fauves”. My thoughts began to spin like a color wheel! I recalled my college art history classes and our studies of The Fauves which lead my thoughts then to a trip I took to the The Orsay Museum in Paris, Derain, Matisse, Bulging eyes, more color, primary color schemes, children’s toys, gemstones, rubies, citrines, sapphires-then, I thought of the Paris metro, then Parisian cafes, wine, more Parisian cafes, more wine, dizzy…Such are these thoughts that have altered my ability to read. I hope that my mind can settle down now to read my magazine.
